Caramelized pears and vanilla ice cream that is soft and sweet. Pears, topped with homemade caramel popcorn and a dollop of delicious vanilla ice-cream. It’s easy and delicious. Ahhhh, you need this!
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 medium pears, quartered and cored
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Homemade popcorn for serving ( amount as desired)
Melt butter over medium-high in a large pan. Add pears, one cut side down, and cook until browned, then reduce heat to medium and cook 3 minutes. Turn pears to other cut side and cook 3 minutes. Add sugar and 1 tablespoon water, swirling pan to combine. Turn pears skin side down and cook until sauce is thickened slightly, 1 minute. Stir in vanilla and pinch of salt. Serve warm with ice cream. Use the remainder of the caramelized sauce to drizzle and coat your pop corn.

NOTE: Make your homemade popcorn before you prepare your dessert, so that you may serve your dish warm and ice cream not melted
